What I got for Christmas

Hi girls! I hope everyone had a great Christmas. I have been enjoying everyone's blog posts with pictures of what they got for Christmas and I finally had time to post mine. I hope you all have a wonderful New Years Eve! Does anyone have any fun plans they would like to share? We stay home for New Years Eve and my Mom makes some fun foods. Nothing big but we have fun!

Ok, so here's what I got for Christmas:

My Great Grandma got me Kanani's Lu'au Set.
This set is SO cute!
The photo below is of the doll related things that I got and I will show you some of them individually. Plus, you're all probably wondering what's in the AG boxes! :)
As you can see, I got Julie!!! Sorry, I didn't take a picture of her in her box. I took this later on Christmas Day. Everything in the picture below is from Santa except for the doll size washing machine on the left (it really spins, lights up, and you can put water in it too), mini Christmas Julie, and Rebecca's phonograph set. I got the doll sized washing machine from one of my sets of grandparents and the phonograph from the other set of grandparents. And mini Christmas Julie is from my Mom and Dad (they gave her to me on Christmas Eve). I also got a few books, some board games, a new Lalaloopsy (I love those!), and some other things that aren't photographed.
And, I know the Rottweiler webkinz isn't doll related but I had to include him! I just wanted to show you because he's SO cute and he looks alot like my new dog, Bear. Ok, so that covers this picture.
I got a doll sized aquarium. When you put water in it, the fish grow. I took a picture of them this morning so you could see how big they have gotten in a couple of days. That picture is further down in the post. This picture was taken on Christmas morning just after I put water in the tank.
I got the American Girl Desktop Drawing Station. Very cool!
And, in the AG boxes:
Kanani's Aloha Outfit
Addy's Christmas Dress
Kanani's Party Outfit
Kanani's PJ's
AG Skate Set
AG Bocce Set
These bitty outfits didn't make it into the big photo but I got them too (from my Mom and Dad).
So cute! Love bitties!!!
And, here's the fish tank today.
See how big the fish got!
I will let you know if they continue to grow.
So, that's it. I completed my Kanani collection and I'm really excited about that. I got some other really cool things like a jeep for my dolls, a washing machine for my dolls, and two new holiday minis to name a few. And, I got Julie!!! I hope you enjoyed my photos!

Christmas theme and my Christmas wish list

I have my Christmas theme launched and I hope you like it! I've been spending a lot of time with my new dog, Bear. He is so much fun and so sweet! I will post new pictures of him soon. I also wanted to share my Christmas wish list with you! If you celebrate Christmas, has your family decorated yet? Mine has and I love when our house is ready for Christmas! If you don't celebrate Christmas, what is your favorite holiday that you do celebrate?

Here's my Christmas wish list! Are you hoping for any of the same things that I am?

I am hoping Julie will find her way to my home this year. :)

I'd love to have Addy's Christmas dress! It's my favorite Addy outfit!

I am hoping to complete my Kanani collection! This is the first girl of the year that I have loved her entire world so I'd like to make her my one doll that I have all of the pieces and outfits for!

I LOVE mini holiday Addy! And, I'm really hoping to get her before the year is over!

Thanksgiving Blog Theme & a SURPRISE!

If you're reading this then you can see that I changed my blog up for Thanksgiving. :) I got a comment asking me to take the Halloween down. I know that Halloween was a week ago but to be fair, it takes a while to actually make the background, header, and all of the pieces. So, when seasons or holidays change, please try to be patient. I know you're excited to see the blog themes change but remember, my Mom does most of them and she doesn't always have the time to work on the new stuff right away.

Now for the surprise!!! I'm sure you were all hoping that I was having a contest or something. A contest will be coming soon! But, that's not the surprise. The surprise is that we got a new dog! He is a rottweiler lab mix and we got him from our local animal shelter. He is a year old and lots of fun. The only problem is that our cat doesn't really like him yet. Hopefully she will warm up to him soon. Now you know why I haven't posted in a couple of weeks. I have been busy trying to get to know our new puppy. And, I know you all want to see pictures of him!
So, meet my new dog, Bear....

Jumping Beans Nightgowns for Girls and Dolls

I wanted to show you these Jumping Beans nightgown sets for girls and dolls that Kohls sells. I recently bought two sets. Claire and Ella are modeling the doll sized nightgowns here. If you have a Kohls near you, the nightgowns come in sizes 6-16 *I think*. If you don't have a Kohls near you, you can order them online at Kohls.com but the sizes will be more limited.

And, for those of you that don't wear one of those sizes, I have some ideas for you:
*Buy a set. Keep the doll sized nightgown and give the girl sized nightgown as a gift to a cousin, niece, or sister.
OR
*Buy a set and repurpose the girl sized nightgown into pj's for your dolls or a matching sleeping bag and pillow for your dolls. A sleeping bag and pillow is a great beginner sewing project! You could also make an awesome oversized pillow for your room. The fabric is really soft and the colors and patterns are all really cute!!!!

New Mini and Box Book Set

My Dad went to Sam's Club yesterday. Normally we would go along with him but my brothers and I have been sick with the flu (yep, still not healthy yet). He saw boxed sets of American Girl books and mini dolls so he bought the Marie Grace set for me. I'm really looking forward to reading them. Have you read any of the Cecile or Marie Grace books yet? If so, what did you think of them?

Stomach Flu and A Loss

Sorry I haven't been posting for a couple of weeks. Our dog died two and a half weeks ago. He was 13 and a half years old. He had bad arthritis and then he developed a bad infection so my Dad took him to be put to sleep. :( We don't have anymore dogs. My Dad said he wants to take a little break and then we'll get another dog. I'm sharing a picture of him with you...he was a very pretty brindle Greyhound that we rescued 10 years ago.

I'm also getting over the stomach flu so hopefully I'll be back to posting soon. Being sick stinks!

Did you see the American Girl website this morning? It's Christmas themed. It's really cute so if you haven't seen it, check it out!

Halloween Surprise

Oh my gosh! My Mom and I have been working on a new Halloween background, header, and everything that goes with it today and it is SOOOO awesome!!!! I was going to save it until October but I can't wait to share it with you all so I think I might need to post it sooner. Keep checking back...

Ruthie Love

Just sharing a few pictures of Miss Ruthie today. I am so crazy about this doll! Ruthie is way cuter than I ever imagined and I'm so glad that I was able to see her (and buy her) in person at the American Girl store last Saturday! She was on my list to eventually buy but not at the top of the list...until I saw her that is. I knew she was coming home with me the second I saw her and I love her so much! Ruthie has such a neat hair color. It kind of has a reddish tint when the sun hits it. And her eyes are the prettiest shade of gray!! I just love her! Do you feel the Ruthie love?

If you missed my post about my trip to the American Girl store in Washington D.C. you can find it by clicking "HERE" (there are TONS of pictures from the store and of what I bought)! Happy Friday everyone!

Nellie Pictures

So I haven't had a chance to take Nellie outside for pictures but I did take some pretty inside pictures yesterday. I don't think it's possible to take a bad picture of Nellie! She's just SO pretty!!!

Fresh New Look

I decided that I was tired of pink and it was time to take my summer header off anyway. My Mom and I worked on this fall background, header, footer, and buttons all evening. I loved using the pictures of Maya and Ruthie that I took today in my new header. And, we made the music player match my new background! :) I'd love to hear what you think of my new look! I'm excited about it! Oh, I also added Nellie, Ruthie, Maya, Tyson, and Maizy to the sidebar photos! Did you notice?
(I'm so happy my computer is working and I can post again! I really missed my blog!)

Bitty Clothes on 18 Inch Dolls

Piper posted a comment yesterday and was wondering if Bitty Twin outfits and Bitty Baby outfits fit the 18 inch dolls. And, the answer is YES! some of them do. I can't say for sure that all of them would fit but a lot of them do. In some cases the dresses are a little short but that can be fixed by adding a pair of leggings. I took a picture of Claire, Ella, Chrissa, and Mia modeling some bitty outfits for you. Claire is wearing the Bitty Baby Blossom Pajamas. They look really cute and the slippers fit too! Chrissa is wearing the American Girl Bitty Blooms dress. It also fits nicely and again, the shoes fit too! Mia is wearing the Bitty Twin Playdate outfit without the tights (once again, the shoes fit). And, Ella is wearing current Bitty Twin meet dress. It was a little short so I paired it with the leggings from the last Just Like You meet outfit and she's wearing Kanani's shoes (I'm sure the bitty shoes would have fit but I didn't take them off of Maya). So, as you can see the bitty clothes do fit the 18 inch dolls in some cases! I hope this answers your question Piper and I hope you all found this post helpful. :)

My Trip to American Girl Washington D.C. with TONS of pictures!!!!!!!!

As promised, here are the pictures from my trip to American Girl Washington D.C.!!!
And, of course, pictures of what I bought! :)
We got to the store right when it opened and there weren't many people there yet at all. It was awesome!

Check Spelling

And now for what I bought!
Like I said, I brought one of my dolls to the store with me and then I bought four more so I came home with a total of 5.....and a bunch of other stuff!
A shirt for me - a shirt for my dolls!
My shirt up close - Super cute!
Sleepover Accessories Set
Kanani's 'Ukulele Set
Winter Wonder Dress
My new twins Maya and Tyson!!!!!!!!!!!
(I decided on Tyson because I bought him at Tyson's Corner!)
These two stole my heart and I had to bring them home with me!
Baby Maizy!!!!!!!!!
(Medium skin, dark brown hair, brown eyes)
Special Edition Mini Kirsten
Ruthie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Another picture of Gorgeous Ruthie!!!
I went to the store with plans to buy Cecile, Marie-Grace, Argos, Cochon, some store exclusives, and a red headed bitty baby. When I got there, I fell in love with Ruthie and I knew I had to bring her home with me. After looking at everything in the store, Maya and Tyson totally stole my heart and then I saw Maizy and just loved her. Shopping in the store is very different from shopping on the website and everything looks so different in person. I liked Ruthie before but she wasn't at the top of my list until I saw her in person yesterday. She is SO pretty! And I didn't ever have plans to buy the bitty baby that I bought until I saw her yesterday and then I knew she was the one. The store was amazing!!!! Everything is so neat and organized and it's so much fun to see everything set up like it is. I loved it and I had an awesome time!!!!!
